First day discovering the island of La Gomera, one of the best-kept secrets of the Canary archipelago.

Largely spared from mass tourism and entirely classified as a Biosphere Reserve, it offers wild, unspoilt nature. Its volcanic relief makes it a paradise for motorcyclists and lovers of dream roads!

North-east of Garajonay National Park, the village of Agulo is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain. It's a real pleasure to wander through its little streets lined with colonial-style houses.

Hermigua, for its part, is famous for its terraced banana plantations.

Late afternoon: check-in at the hotel in San Sebastián (or nearby).

Breakfast included. Briefing. We continue our journey, all hairpin bends, on La Gomera. Forget straight lines...

The unmissable Garajonay National Park, in the centre of the island, has peaks often wrapped in clouds. Among them, Los Roques is a row of impressive basalt monoliths, symbolised by the Roque de Agando.

At the Mirador de Abrante, we stand 600 m above the Atlantic on a dizzying glass walkway. On clear days, you can see Teide on Tenerife.

Close to Hermigua, Santa Catalina bay, with its black volcanic sand beach, is one of the wildest coastal landscapes on the island. Nestled at the end of the superb Hermigua valley, it offers a striking contrast between sheer cliffs, banana plantations and the ocean.

We spend the morning strolling the charming streets of San Sebastián de La Gomera, Christopher Columbus's last stop before sailing to America.

Early afternoon: ferry crossing (approx. 50 min) to Los Cristianos (Tenerife).

We climb Teide volcano on a stunning road, before crossing the incredible basalt lava fields that make up this unique scenery.

Arrival in the late afternoon in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, in the north of Tenerife. This former colonial town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has a beautiful historic centre, lively in the evening.

South of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, La Orotava has beautiful gardens, and Icod de los Vinos the oldest dragon tree in the world.

We take another equally beautiful route around Teide via the pearl of Tenerife: Masca.

Nestled at 650 m in the heart of the Teno massif, this hamlet perched on a rocky promontory appears at the end of a narrow and truly spectacular road!

On to the port of Los Cristianos and boarding in the early evening for a ferry crossing of approx. 2.5 hours to Santa Cruz de La Palma, on the island of La Palma.

Overnight on La Palma.

Breakfast included. Briefing. Off we go for a first full day hunting for the treasures of La Palma, on the western edge of the archipelago.

Nicknamed 'La Isla Bonita' (nothing to do with Madonna's song), this 'pretty island' is the greenest and wildest of the Canaries. Like La Gomera, it is entirely classified as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

For motorcyclists (and others...), the island is a fabulous playground of hairpins, dizzying climbs and incredible descents. All on a ribbon of tarmac that would put many road authorities to shame.

We tackle the beautiful La Palma Volcano Route, which winds along the ridges with lunar landscapes of black ash fields and red-tinged craters. With, almost always, the azure blue of the Atlantic in the background.

Breakfast included. Briefing. Off on a new exploration of La Palma. In the western part, the very recent Tajogaite volcanic cone has reshaped the landscape. We get as close as possible, with breathtaking views. At the far south, the San Antonio and Teneguía volcanoes stand next to the magnificent multicoloured Fuencaliente salt flats, by the sea.

Besides its generous nature, the island has some very pretty villages, starting with Tazacorte, with its colourful traditional façades, its large black sand beach and its seafront restaurants. A little further on, Poris de Candelaria is a (very) well-hidden gem, tucked inside a large sea cave. With its lovely little white houses, it's a marvel that has to be earned...

And of course Santa Cruz de La Palma, more a large village than a town. Its typical carved pine balconies, beautifully decked with flowers, are a delight!

Breakfast included. Briefing. Very early departure to board the ferry to Los Cristianos, on Tenerife (approx. 2.5 hours). We enjoy a last day out on two or four wheels discovering the island of Tenerife. Teide will be all around us, and so will the joy of riding in this grandiose setting!

PM: motorcycles returned to the hire company in Playa de las Américas and short transfer to the hotel. Dinner at leisure. Overnight in Playa de las Américas (or nearby).

Free morning to enjoy the hotel and/or the activities of lively Playa de las Américas and the Costa Adeje.

Transfer to Tenerife South airport (motorcyclists). Cars drive to the airport and are returned to the hire company.
