Land of "Costas", beaches and tapas, Spain is above all a mountain country and a magnificent Eden for lovers of great motorcycle getaways! In the north, the Pyrenees unfold their thousands of hairpins from the Atlantic Ocean to Cadaquès on the Catalan coast. 

Starting from Barcelona or Girona, possibilities are endless, with the occasional incursion into France and Andorra. Stone-house villages and remarkable natural sites abound, like the Picos de Europa National Park, or the surprising desert of the Bardenas Reales. There are even canyons worthy of the American West, like the Grand Canyon of Teruel in Aragon. Green Galicia and the very beautiful Cantabrian Mountains (starting from Bilbao) also offer superb roads! Spending a night in a Parador, these hotels set in historic or characterful buildings, is a must.  

The Douro International Natural Park, straddling Spain and Portugal, can be discovered from Madrid, Salamanca, or Porto. In the wild region of Extremadura in the southwest, you'll discover charming fortified villages like Guadalupe or San Martin de Trevejo. Far to the south, Andalusia needs no introduction, with its beautiful white villages like Ronda, and remarkable cities such as Cordoba, Seville or Granada. Here too, riding through the Sierra Morena or the Sierra Nevada is pure bliss for motorcyclists!

A big favorite: the Canary Islands archipelago, with its varied landscapes and ribbons of asphalt. Whether on Tenerife, tackling the Teide volcano; on the sumptuous hairpins of Gran Canaria in a peerless mountain setting; or on Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Gomera or La Palma.
